Residential elevators are the new trend in modern homes and condominiums. Before, having an elevator built into your home was more of a luxury, but with new technology and affordable prices, elevators and lifts can be installed into existing homes and be customized to match the home’s décor. But what about small office buildings and churches? These establishments may not have adequate room for a traditional commercial sized elevator. These types of buildings call for an Elevation LU/LA (Limited Use, Limited Access) elevator.
What is a Limited Use, Limited Access elevator?
An Elevation LU/LA is a cost effective, small and safe elevator designed to be smaller in size in order to fit into smaller areas in a commercial setting. LU/LAs are limited in usage, and are typically 18 square feet in size, which is large enough for a single wheelchair. Because the lift can hold a maximum capacity of 1,400 pounds, some commercial LU/LAs are used to haul equipment from floor to floor.
Why an Elevation LU/LA from Symmetry Elevating Solutions?
Leading the industry in quality, style, and design, the Elevation by Symmetry Elevating Solutions is engineered and designed for limited commercial use. LU/LAs can also be used in residential settings as well. The LU/LA elevator is designed to meet the requirements of the ADA and provide access for low occupancy and low rise commercial buildings where a traditional passenger elevator is not feasible or required by code. All LU/LA elevators are limited by speed, travel and capacity in order to comply with code.
The Elevation is ideal for applications up to six stops and 25 feet (standard) or 40 feet (with approval variance) of travel. The Elevation is designed for in schools, churches, multi-family housing units, libraries, and more.
